One of the main highlights here is the view from the spectacular Great Rift’s escarpment area over the Karatu farmlands and the nearby Ngorongoro forest area. The lodge as its name suggests is built on a working farm and you are surrounded by lush greenery and gardens as well as the coffee plantation.
Acacia Farm Lodge is strategically located between the Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Parks on one side and Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Serengeti National Park on the other, this is a perfect base from which to explore these world-famous reserves.

The country style continues into the rooms of which there are 28, all decorated in a contemporary African style. They all have a comfortable lounge and en-suite bedroom all with a mini bar, coffee making facility, air-conditioning, satellite television, Wi-Fi and also a private balcony with sweeping views of the farm, the surrounding scenic landscape and the most amazing sunsets.
These is a bar, lovely gardens, a swimming pool and the option to dine inside or al fresco.
As well as visitng the nearby Ngorongoro Crater, its also possible to visit a working farm. The highlands are covered by such estates and a tour gives a real insight into the local people and economy. There are walking opportunites from the lodge, to explore the surrounding countryside and villages. In-house naturalists will take you to explore the Ngorongoro Forest, either on foot or bicycle, and give you an insight into the local flora and fauna.
