Kanana Camp sits in a beautiful location in a grove of ebony and acacia trees on the Kanana tract in the world-famous Okavango Delta. This area is known for a necklace of islands - perfect for exploring on foot and by boat.
Kanana Camp offer guests the opportunity for an up-close, intimate view of Botswana’s unspoiled, beautiful Okavango Delta whilst truly being able to get away from it all. There is no radio, or television and no cell phone coverage which all helps add to the ambiance. The only sound you will hear is the sound of the wildlife or the water and the only things you will see are the animals, the scenery and the stunning night sky.
Small and intimate, this camp offers safari accommodation to a maximum of 16 guests in eight safari tents, one of which is configured for families. The large safari-style tents are built up on platforms to give excellent views out over the surrounding countryside and floodplains and being well-spaced provide a good deal of privacy. Each tent has its own veranda facing the waterway and floodplains that border the camp. The rooms are comfortable, with wide beds made up with comfortable linens and attractive duvets. Mesh windows and brass floor fans keep the rooms cool. The front of each tent is mesh with a zipper closure. Each tent has its own en suite bathroom complete with a flush loo, shower and washstand. There is a larger than average pool in camp.
Activities include traditional 4x4 game viewing, bush walks, and a range of wonderful water activities including glass bottom mokoro trips and boat rides including the chance to visit a heronry. Being within a private concessions guests can enjoy safari by spotlight at night. Kanana also has a brand new experience to offer its guests - a wonderful sleep out deck!
