This rustic wooden lodge has a wonderful location, 2,000 metres above sea level, set on the lower slopes of Mount Kenya. The altitude means it stays lovely and cool, even chilly in the evenings making a refreshing change from the heat of the plains. The landsacape here is mountainous with heavily wooded areas and mountain streams.
Game viewing is different - there is an open-air viewing-deck which looks down on to its own water hole and salt-lick, which attracts numerous herds of elephant and buffalo. There is also a tunnel leading to a photo-hide, which offers spectacular viewing and photographic opportunities just metres away from the wildlife at the water hole.
The hotel is a large wooden structure with open walkways connecting the buildings and the rooms are all very cosy with a log cabin style.
A wonderful private drive-in safari visiting Mt Kenya, Ol Pejeta, Samburu, the Great Rift Valley Lakes and the Masai Mara
