Real World

We, just like you, relish the chance to explore all corners of the globe. Over the years we have as a team travelled extensively in six out of seven continents often in search of wildlife encounters to rival those we know and love in Africa. We've travelled with our families, explored as individuals and Rob has taken it one step further and used his in depth knowledge of Nepal, to write a guide book for Footprint Travel Guides (...due out February 2017!).

Here we use our personal knowledge and expertise to bring you a selection of some of our favourite tried and tested worldwide holidays, from seeing whales in Vancouver to searching for tigers in Chitwan.

Our tailor-made Real World journeys are crafted with the same trademark care and attention as our Real Africa Safaris. They're the holidays we recommend to our friends, and the style of travel we enjoy with our own families. We're not trying to compete with high street agents but prefer to offer boutique style hotels wherever possible, and characterful accommodation and itineraries which reflect our client’s interests, often visiting more off-the-beaten track destinations and including stays in eco-lodges. Underpinning all journeys is a commitment to responsible travel and wildlife conservation.

Stay a while in Phnom Penh, the so called ‘Paris of the East’ with its tree lined boulevards and café culture before journeying to Siem Reap where the sun rising over the ancient Khmer ruins of Angkor Wat, engulfed in jungle, is a magical experience. Stay in the lap of luxury at Amansara, built in 1962 as the royal guesthouse of King Sihanouk or Residence D’Angkor for understated luxury. Travel on to the sun-drenched beaches of Sihanoukville and Kep, laid-back and beautiful or splurge with a stay at wonderful Song Saa, an indulgent island resort in the Gulf of Thailand - Cambodia is no longer a quick add-on to Thailand but a destination in its own right.
