This is a wonderful private safari with your own vehicle and driver/guide exploring the main highlights of Kenya. Scenery is contrasting as you travel from Mount Kenya with its distinct fresh climate to the rugged and arid landscape of Samburu Game Reserve with its famous herds of elephants. You visit the private Ol Pejeta conservancy on the stunning Laikipia Plateau and stay at Lake Nakuru in the Great Rift Valley Lakes before concluding your safari in the world famous Masai Mara with its wonderful big cats. You have the option to extend this safari to include Amboseli.
The Real Africa Trust works with leading conservation organisations to raise awareness as well as raising funds for specific projects. Partners include Save the Elephants, Save the Rhino, The Sheldrick Trust, Rhino Conservation Botswana and Animals saving Animals. You can find out more on our Conservation pages. On behalf of every client travelling, Real Africa makes a donation to the Trust. On this trip you will have the opportunity to witness several of these projects first-hand. Samburu is the home of the Save the Elephants research centre while in Nairobi you can visit the Sheldrick elephant nursery. The Trust has fostered a number of elephants over the years and has just donated $23,000 as a result of our Explorers against Extinction campaign (November 2017). This is enough to fund more than 11 elephant rescues or to look after two orphans for an entire year. You also have the chance to visit the anti poaching dog squad unit during your stay at Ol Pejeta - again via recent fundraising we are delighted to be donating a new tracker dog - a Spaniel - to Ol Pejeta, trained and deployed by our partner Animals saving Animals.Plan My Journey Speak To Us
