Our Explorers against Extinction campaign seeks to raise awareness about endangered species. Black rhino numbers have tragically dwindled to just 5,000 and this very special safari visits a not-for-profit community conservancy dedicated to bringing black rhino back to northern Kenya. You can track the black rhino on foot, learn about the conservation initiative in Sera and travel in the knowledge you are contributing to the conservation of this iconic species.
You also visit the wild and very beautiful Kalama Conservancy, Samburu, where herds of elephants browse the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River before flying to a private conservancy in the Masai Mara for a further three night safari.
A fantastic, unique three centre safari.
Your stay helps to fund the Sera Community Conservancy (established 2015) by the Northern Rangelands Trust and community. Sera Community Conservancy is a vast, untouched wilderness of more than 350,000 hectares, larger than Luxembourg and Hong Kong combined. It is the first community conservancy in Africa to own and operate a sanctuary dedicated to the conservation of the critically endangered black rhino. The sanctuary currently provides state-of-the-art protection for 11 black rhinos relocated from Lewa Conservancy, Nakuru National Park and other areas. This move sees the rhino back in its natural habitat in northern Kenya after 30 years. The Real Africa Trust fosters a Sheldrick elephant orphan on behalf of all clients visiting Kenya on safari. Please let us know if you would like to visit your orphan during your trip so we can make necessary arrangements.Plan My Journey Speak To Us
