Classic Kenya

This is a wonderfully classic Kenya safari with the focus on the wildlife. You will get the chance to see the Big Five and the annual migration in the Masai Mara (if you are there from July - November). You will also get the chance to visit the rhinos and chimpanzees in various conservation projects at Ol Pejeta private reserve and to meet the giraffes at the Giraffe Centre in Nairobi. You stay in the highly respected Serena properties throughout.

You have the opportunity to visit the pioneering Sheldrick Trust elephant orphanage in Nairobi where dozens of baby elephants have been rescued and rehabilitated. The Real Africa Trust has fostered several of these and continues to support the charity. We also work with a number of other conservation charities active in Kenya including Save the Elephants and Save the Rhino.

Ol Pejeta Reserve
The Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a 90,000-acre (360 km2) not-for- profit wildlife conservancy in Central Kenya's Laikipia County. The Ol Pejeta Conservancy works to conserve wildlife, provide a sanctuary for great apes and to generate income through wildlife tourism and complementary enterprises for re- investment in conservation and community development. The Conservancy boasts the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, and in 2013, reached a population milestone of 100 black rhino. It also houses the three remaining northern white rhino in the world. The Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary is situated here, and provides a haven for orphaned, abandoned and rescued chimpanzees.
