'Explorers against Extinction' Classic Kenya Safari

This is a wonderful classic safari, perfect for first time visitors to Kenya. The safari incorporates three contrasting safari areas, giving you a fantastic opportunity to see the Big Five. Between July and November there is also a chance to catch up with the annual wildebeest migration in the Masai Mara. This is a drive-in safari - with your own private vehicle and driver/guide.

This safari has been put together to celebrate our 'Explorers against Extinction' campaign with the net profit being donated to the fund.

You have the opportunity to learn a bit more about some of the projects we support and find out more about endangered species and the battle to save them. Visits to the Giraffe Centre and Sheldrick Trust are included. We even foster a baby elephant on your behalf - you can meet your elephant orphan during your time in Kenya.

At Ol Pejeta, a not for profit conservancy where the anti poaching dogs of Animals saving Animals are trained, you have many conservation activities to choose from: walk with the anti poaching dogs and learn about their role, visit the Morani Education Centre and the last three northern white rhinos in the world, or tour the chimpanzee sanctuary opened by Jane Goodall.

You stay in the highly respected Serena properties throughout.

The Real Africa Trust works with leading conservation organisations to raise awareness as well as raising funds for specific projects. Partners include Save the Elephants, Save the Rhino, The Sheldrick Trust, Rhino Conservation Botswana and Animals saving Animals. You can find out more on our Conservation pages. On behalf of every client travelling to Kenya, Real Africa fosters a baby elephant on your behalf. We also support the anti poaching dog squads of Animals saving Animals and you have the chance to meet the canine unit during your stay at Ol Pejeta. In 2017 we have raised nearly $50,000 for The Sheldrick Trust and the dog squads via our Explorers against Extinction campaign.

The Conservancy boasts the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, and in 2013, reached a population milestone of 100 black rhino. It also houses the three remaining northern white rhino in the world. The Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary is situated here, and provides a haven for orphaned, abandoned and rescued chimpanzees.
