This is a classic fly-in safari exploring different areas of the world famous Okavango Delta and the Moremi Game Reserve. You stay in a combination of different Ker and Downey safari camps allowing you to see different wildlife, glorious scenery and experience the hospitality of 3 different luxury safari camps.
The Moremi Wildlife Reserve is situated in a corner of the Okavango Delta and covers more than 1,000 square kilometres of grassy floodplains, winding waterways, palm-fringed islands, forest and lush, lily-covered lagoons. With its mix of wetlands and
woodlands, it is a wonderful game viewing location. This is where hippos and crocodiles bathe and laze in crystal-clear waters, while the wide variety of vegetation is home to a magnificent collection of wildlife. Lion, cheetah and leopard hunt in the open veld, and the area is particularly good for wild dogs.
Courtesy of its location Shinde can offer both water and land activities year round. Motorboats or Mokoro provide a chance to experience the incredible bird, plant and reptile species found in the aquatic habitat of the Okavango Delta. Game drives are conducted by a personal guide in comfortable, specially designed game drive vehicles. There are a large number of big cats including lion, leopard and cheetah, and given the open nature of the environment, it's a good area for wild dog. For the more adventurous, guided walks are also available, while fishing enthusiasts will enjoy fishing for a variety of species such as tilapia and tigerfish.
The Real Africa Trust works with leading conservation organisations to raise awareness as well as raising funds for specific projects. Partners include Save the Elephants, Save the Rhino, The Sheldrick Trust, Rhino Conservation Botswana and Animals saving Animals. You can find out more on our Conservation pages. On behalf of every client travelling, Real Africa makes a donation to the Trust. We are incredibly excited to have raised enough funds for two triple role rhino protection dogs for Rhino Conservation Bostwana - they are currently in training and will be deployed in summer 2018. Ker & Downey, as part of its social responsibility programme supports Bana Ba Letsatsi (which means Children of the sun), a charity that was established in 2004 with the mission of supporting vulnerable, orphaned and at risk children living in Maun. Ker & Downey donate a percentage of each safari to the charity.
