Safari Itinerary

On arrival at the international airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel at the beach for some rest and relaxation after your long flight.

DAY 2 - 3

Sigiriya, Ritigalala and Polonnaruwa
Today you will head inland to Sri Lanka's famous Cultural Triangle. You will be staying at the fabulous Aliya Resort which will be your base for the next few days as you visit the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, the Ritigala Monastery, the Polonnaruwa Ruins and the Minneriya National Park. Minneriya National Park is home to the amazing phenomenon of the ‘Minneriya Elephant gathering’ that occurs during August – September.

DAY 4 - 6

After breakfast this morning, we proceed on our way towards the East Coast of Sri Lanka to your next stop in Pasikudah which offers the unspoilt beauty of the tropical coastline - the white, sandy beaches and the calm, turquoise waters are unrivalled. Coastlines are shallow and currents are comparatively weak, considered a perfect and safe locale for swimming and watersports. En-route you visit the Dambulla Cave Temples. A complex that lies atop a massive hill on the edge of the town is one of the eight UNESCO world heritage sites in the country and is renowned for its unique sculptures and the largest mural paintings.
