Tanzania Wildlife Extra

This is a comprehensive safari for those who really want to spend more time in the parks and reserves of Northern Tanzania. You have a private guide and your own 4x4 vehicle throughout.
You will spend time game-viewing in all the parks you visit, including 4 nights in the Serengeti staying in two different camps in two different areas. You also visit Lake Manyara, Tarangire and the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. This is a great mix of tented camps and lodges including the luxurious Escarpment Lodge in Lake Manyara. You will also get to meet and learn about the colourful Maasai and their traditional culture.

On behalf of every client travelling the Real Africa Trust makes a donation to one of its nominated projects. Conservation partners include Save the Elephants and Save the Rhino International - you can find out more about our partnerships on the conservation pages.

Safari Itinerary

On arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport you are met by your private vehicle and guide and drive to your hotel in Arusha. The rest of the day is at leisure.

DAY 2 - 3

Tarangire National Park
After a morning safari briefing you will be driven to Tarangire with an afternoon game drive in the park. You will have a full day in Tarangire National Park, with morning and evening game drives included. Tarangire offers a landscape different from any you will have previously seen and is famous for its elephants gathering to drink from the River that gives the Park its name.

DAY 4 - 5

South-east Serengeti
Today you drive to the Serengeti, with game viewing on route. You will be in the Serengeti for four nights, based at two different lodges to ensure you get the most variety of flora, fauna and landscape. The Serengeti is one of the best wildlife viewing areas in the world and your chances of seeing the Big Five (and much more) are very high.
