Uganda Primates and Wildlife

This is a wonderfully comprehensive private tour concentrating on the exceptional wildlife to be found in Uganda. You will go trekking to visit the very endangered mountain gorillas and the chimpanzee colonies - a once in a life time experience! You will also go on safari in the various national parks where you will see every kind of big game including elephants, rhino, hippos and lions. There is also a huge amount of varied and beautiful scenery from the waterfalls at Murchison Falls, to the impenetrable forest of Bwindi to the serene Lake Mburo.

On behalf of every client travelling the Real Africa Trust contributes to conservation as well as working to raise awareness and additional funds for wildlife conservation charity partners which include Save the Elephants and the Save the Rhino International. Our aim is to raise awareness about the plight of endangered species and to promote sustainable, socially responsible travel which benefits the wildlife and communities you choose to visit. For example, the money from your gorilla trekking permit goes straight back into the national park and preserving the habitat as well as anti-poaching efforts and education programmes. On this safari, enroute to Murchison Falls, you have the option to visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Opened in 1998, the Rhino Fund aims to re-introduce black and white Rhinos in to Uganda’s protected areas as well as educating the local communities on endangered Rhinos, poaching and environmental conservation. The Rhino trek takes 1-2 hours and you will get an opportunity of viewing them at close quarters.
