If you are looking for a superb luxury safari experience in Kenya then this combination of contrasting camps and lodges, hand-picked by the team, is hard to top.
From a cliff-top architect designed villa property in Samburu to a romantic tented camp in a private conservancy in the Masai Mara you will stay in beautiful properties in prime wildlife areas and be guided by expert local guides. You will have the opportunity to see how the face of safari has changed in Kenya over the years, staying at an historic family property, Lewa Wilderness. The Craig family has transformed Lewa from a cattle ranch to a not-for-profit wildlife conservancy and they now undertake vital conservation work with their community partners.
This like all our safaris is merely a suggestion for your holiday so please do get in touch if you have a specific 'Ultimate Kenya' safari in mind with a different combination of lodges so we can prepare a tailor-made itinerary for you.
The Real Africa Trust supports a number of important charities and projects in Kenya - you will visit some of these during your trip, such as the Sheldrick Trust in Nairobi which has rehabilitated many elephant orphans back to the wild. We have just donated nearly $23,000 to the Sheldrick Trust - enough to fund more than 11 elephant rescues. In addition all the lodges in this Ultimate itinerary have been hand-picked and offer the best in low density sustainable tourism. The Emakoko partners with the Kenya Wildlife Service, the Kitengela Landowners Association and the local community - projects include the ‘lion lighting scheme’ which is one way in which predators have been deterred from attacking the community Bomas. To date they have ‘lit up’ 8 Bomas in the area and so far so good. Your stay directly contributes to projects such as this. Lewa Conservancy is at the forefront of rhino conservation in Kenya with anti-poaching dog squads and a translocation scheme for black rhino which you will be able to learn about during your stay if of interest. Mara Plains Camp in the Olare Motorogi Conservancy is leased from the local Maasai community and conservation fees directly support more than 1,000 families – a partnership which ensures the survival of an astounding volume and variety of wildlife. Saruni in the same vein, believes in ethical creation of wealth and the protection of wildlife and nature based on distribution of income and jobs to its stakeholders and custodians - this is why they too invest in community conservancies.Plan My Journey Speak To Us
