Fundu Lagoon Pemba Island, Tanzania

Fundu Lagoon is the epitome of barefoot luxury. Set on the island of Pemba off the coast of Zanzibar, Fundu Lagoon is accessible by boat only. Its small size and tranquil location offer total peace and quiet for those looking for a stylish beach getaway.

Wooden walkways and sandy paths link the 18 thatched rooms and bungalows. There are three bars, a lovely restaurant and an infinity pool. There is also a spa.

The ocean surrounding Pemba offers some of the best snorkelling and diving in the world so it is no surprise that guests are invited to take advantage of the excellent Dive School, Dive 710.

Rightly so, paradise as perfect as this is not always easy to get to - we recommend flying to Zanzibar and over-nighting in atmospheric Stone Town - we can then transfer you to Pemba the next day. Please do ask for details.
