This brand new camp makes the most of its wonderful location with all 12 rooms being situated on a deck overlooking the pan meaning you can watch game from your own deck all year round. The 12 rooms are built from wood and blend in beautifully with their natural surroundings. As you would expect the rooms offer more facilities than a tent - all are en-suite with a flush toilet, double sinks and both an indoor and an outdoor shower. In addition each room has a private veranda with outdoor lounge chairs, the perfect place to relax in the peace and quiet of this remote part of the world.
The rooms and main area are simply and elegantly decorated with contemporary furniture which complements the peaceful relaxing atmosphere of the camp.
The main area also has a plunge pool for a refreshing dip after a game dive, a sociable bar for your sundowners, and lounge for enjoying with a good book. There is also an orientation center and a curio shop.
Just in front of the main camp is the fire pit or boma where a light breakfast is served each day before heading off on safari, and where you can catch up with your fellow guests in the evenings under the African stars.
Splash Enclave - perfect for families or groups of friends:
Splash Enclave is a small private camp within the main camp, suited to groups and families - it has its own plunge pool, dining area and lounge and bar. This will be available to groups of 6-10 or more looking for a more intimate experience. Such groups will have no age restrictions, making the Enclave the perfect location for families.
Safari activities at Splash include: game drives, mokoro excursions, boat cruises, fishing and walking safaris. Mokoro excursions are a must in this part of the world - these traditional dugout canoes offer a silent way to travel, low down at water level amongst the reeds and this enables you to get up much closer to the wildlife than in a traditional boat. Also available are night game drives so guests will have an excellent chance of seeing predators and big cats in particular. Game drives are in land cruisers that take a maximum of 6 passengers in 3 rows of 3. Kwando use a driver and a tracker to get the most out of your game drives.
