Victoria Falls Safari Lodge & Club Near Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

Victoria Falls Safari Lodge
The lodge is set high on a plateau just four kilometres from Victoria Falls town on the edge of Zambezi National Park. Guests can enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding landscape from the spacious rooms and public areas which all look out towards the waterhole below. Elephant, buffalo and impala are among the regular visitors. The lodge is constructed of thatch and timber and has seven levels and 72 sunset facing rooms. The Buffalo Bar is a great spot for sundowners. A complimentary shuttle bus goes back and forth from Victoria Falls town. There is also a pool.

Victoria Falls Safari Club
The smaller, more exclusive Victoria Falls Safari Club offers spacious guest rooms and suites arranged in two wings either side of the communal area, the open-fronted Safari Lounge. The whole lodge is elevated, to make the most of the views and has an attractive thatched roof. All rooms have wonderful glass doors leading to a balcony with views across the bush. There is a waterhole below the lodge and game can be observed coming to drink. The Safari Lounge bar is the place to be at sunset. Guests are invited to use the swimming pool at neighbouring sister property, Victoria Falls Safari Lodge and there is a regular complimentary shuttle bus service to Victoria Falls for guests at both properties.

Safari Lodge

Watch wildlife at the waterhole from the pool deck or bar, or from the comfort of your room. Enjoy a spell in the Siduli Hide or the special bird hide. We like to include a sunset cruise for guests on the Zambezi and a private tour of the Falls. There is a complimentary shuttle bus for guests which runs every hour to and from the rainforest and the town to the lodge.

Vulture Culture Experience.

This is a supplementary feeding programme that aids the survival of these remarkable but endangered birds, and allows visitors to enjoy the spectacular sight of hundreds of these birds swooping down to be fed on leftover meat scraps from onsite restaurants.

The activity, which occurs at 1pm daily, begins with a briefing on a deck beneath Victoria Falls Safari Lodge about the ecological importance of vultures and the plight they are facing, before visitors take a short walk down a bush path to a hide to view the vultures feeding. Here there is the opportunity to spot white-headed, hooded, lappet-faced and white-backed vultures, as well as marabou storks.

The project also allows vulture numbers to be monitored, as populations are dwindling due to a variety of human created issues, including electrocution by power lines, loss of available and safe food supply, direct and indirect poisoning and the use of their parts for traditional medicines.

Safari Club

A private viewing deck overlooks the game-laden corridor where vast herds of wildlife come down to the mighty Zambezi River to drink. Guest can also enjoy game viewing at nearby hides, guided bush walks, nature trails and birdwatching.

There are regular complimentary shuttles into Victoria Falls and other nearby attractions. However if you just want to relax with a good book or soak up the atmosphere then you can. Situated within the grounds of the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, Safari Club guests have access to the lodge’s Buffalo Bar, Boma and Makuwakuwa Restaurant. There is also a private club lounge, where guests can enjoy breakfasts, afternoon teas and pastries, cocktails and snacks. You also have the luxury of your own private butler service.
