In 2020 we partnered with Conservation Lower Zambezi in Zambia and raised over $15,500 USD to help support the Community Scouts who conduct wildlife patrols in the Lower Zambezi.
With the global pandemic the patrols were in jeopardy with funding greatly reduced following the collapse of eco tourism. The funds we donated paidĀ for 17 community scout wildlife patrols – each one is 10 days long and employs 5 men from the local community.
Reports show that illegal activity was thwarted by the patrols operating at this time including the rescue and release of live pangolins and the confiscation of arms/ammunition.
