Work is progressing well at our school project in the Masai Mara. We’ve had the latest update from Tamoo Sankale, the Headmaster of Ololchura School.
Work started two weeks ago and an inspection from the Department of Public Works has passed as satisfactory the work to date. The foundations and cement platform are in place and the stone walls have started to go up.
In his update Tamoo reports that “its raining in Mara, also with a lot of animals ,the famous migration from Serengeti ,the beasts are already in Mara in millions!” As the school is on the boundary of the main reserve and near the private conservation areas, these animals often pass through the village and graze the playing field.
