A Taste of South Africa

This tour is one of our most popular holidays and it's easy to see why. Starting with a safari in the wonderful Kruger National Park you then head south to the delights of Cape Town, a beautiful and vibrant city. After spending a few days there (including car hire) you then set off to explore the famous Cape Winelands home to stunning scenery, great food and wine and pretty Cape Dutch architecture. Then it's time to head to the coast at Hermanus where you may be lucky enough to see whales. The Garden Route is so beautiful and you have the chance to explore the glorious coastline full of beautiful beaches, pretty towns and incredible marine wildlife including dolphins, porpoises and whales.

If you are on a budget we have another option where you stay in a self catering property at Skukuza Rest Camp in the Kruger (please see the price panel below for more details)

The Real World Conservation Trust (formerly Real Africa Trust) works with leading conservation organisations to raise awareness as well as raising funds for specific projects. Partners include Save the Elephants, Save the Rhino, The Sheldrick Trust, Rhino Conservation Botswana and Animals saving Animals. You can find out more on our Conservation pages. On behalf of every client travelling, Real Africa makes a donation to the Trust. Our aim is to raise awareness about the plight of endangered species and to promote sustainable, socially responsible travel which benefits the wildlife and communities you choose to visit.

Safari Itinerary

DAY 1 - 3

Kruger National Park
On arrival at Hoedspruit (Eastgate) Airport you be met by our representative and will be transferred by road to Honeyguide Mantobeni Camp. On arrival at Honeyguide Mantobeni Camp check-in and relax before afternoon tea. After tea you will enjoy your first afternoon/evening game drive. You will spend the next few days enjoying twice daily game drives and a bush walk. Manyeleti is a unique safari destination well off the beaten path. You can be certain not to encounter big tour groups travelling around in busses, but rather expect a pristine bush experience in one of the world's most beautiful places. This 23,000 hectare private game reserve borders directly to the vast Kruger National Park, as well as the famous Sabi Sands and Timbavati Game Reserves. As there are no fences between the national park and the private game reserves, wildlife is able to roam freely. Manyeleti is prime “Big Five” territory, offering exceptional good possibilities for viewing the elusive leopard

This area is really pretty dotted with Cape Dutch architecture and it is also a real foodie hub with a lot of world class restaurants and wineries. You are based in the lovely town of Franschhoek. You have a couple of days to explore this lovely area and sample the local wines. Franschhoek is a town in South Africa’s Western Cape with centuries-old vineyards and Cape Dutch architecture. Trails wind through flowers and wildlife at Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve to views over Franschhoek Valley. The Huguenot Memorial Museum and neighbouring monument honour the area’s French settlers, who arrived in the 17th and 18th centuries.
