Chobe & Victoria Falls

Combine three days at Victoria Falls with two nights on safari - the perfect holiday for those short on time. You will get to stay in a lovely safari camp and experience a classic safari looking for the big game including the famous elephants of Chobe National Park in Botswana. You then head off to the iconic Victoria Falls where you will stay close to the Falls. You have a couple of days to relax and enjoy all that the town has the offer, with restaurants, galleries, bars and shops as well as all the activities that centre around the Falls. You can go rafting, bungee jumping, safaris, helicopter flips, sunset cruises - the list goes on!

On behalf of all clients travelling Real Africa makes a donation to The Real World Conservation Trust (formerly Real Africa Trust) which works with a number of leading conservation organisations including Rhino Conservation Botswana and Save the Elephants, fund-raising on a variety of projects. The Trust's current campaign, Explorers against Extinction has successfully raised enough money to fund a brand new canine unit for Rhino Conservation Botswana. Two pups are currently in training with Animals saving Animals to be deployed to Botswana in summer 2018 as rhino protection dogs. Visit our News and Conservation pages for more info! Muchenje Safari Lodge invests in the local community, employing the vast majority of its staff from the local village. We believe that conservation, community and tourism must work together in this way in order to safeguard our wildlife for future generations.

Safari Itinerary

DAY 1-2

Chobe Forest Reserve
On arrival at Kasane International Airport you will be met and transferred by road to Muchenje Lodge in the Chobe Forest Reserve overlooking the Chobe River. The lodge is in an ideal location to explore Chobe. The park is divided into four distinctly different eco systems: Serondela with its lush plains and dense forests in the Chobe River area in the extreme north-east; the Savuti Marsh in the west; the Linyanti Swamps in the north-west and the hot dry hinterland in between. A major feature of Chobe National Park is the elephant population currently estimated at around 120,000. The Chobe elephant are migratory, making seasonal movements of up to 200 km from the Chobe and Linyanti rivers, where they concentrate in the dry season, to the pans in the southeast of the park, to which they disperse in the rains.

DAY 3-5

Victoria Falls
After breakfast you will be transferred to the border to complete formalities before being met and driven to the Victoria Falls Hotel, on the edge of the famous Victoria Falls. Here you have 3 nights on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis in a Stable Signature Wing room - plenty of time to soak up the grandeur of the hotel and explore the area.

Victoria Falls International Airport
After breakfast at a pre-arranged time you will transferred to the international airport for your onward journey.
