Kenya Romantic Escape

A truly romantic safari experience perfect for honeymoons. This safari is based on gorgeous hand-picked luxury safari camps with the chance to dine under the African stars. You also fly from camp to camp in light aircraft giving you a birds eye view over the African plains stretching out below you and the teeming wildlife that lives there. You will go on game drives in the stunningly scenic Samburu with its rugged beauty and also in the famous Masai Mara. If you time it right you might even catch the annual migration where thousands of animals are all on the move.

You have the opportunity to visit the pioneering Sheldrick Trust elephant orphanage in Nairobi where dozens of baby elephants have been rescued and rehabilitated. The Real Africa Trust has fostered several of these and continues to support the charity recently donating $23,000 (November 2017) as a result of our Explorers against Extinction fund-raising. We also work with a number of other conservation charities active in Kenya including Save the Elephants and Save the Rhino. The Emakoko stands out for the work they do with the Kenya Wildlife Service, the Kitengela Landowners Association and the local community - projects include the ‘lion lighting scheme’ which is one way in which predators have been deterred from attacking the community Bomas. To date they have ‘lit up’ 8 Bomas in the area and so far so good. Your stay directly contributes to projects such as this. Governors Camps' work is well-known in the Mara - they are involved in the Mara Cheetah project as well as funding many community initiatives such as the Maasai Eye Clinic and a local school.
