This is a fabulous holiday for those who appreciate the finer things in life. You start in the Pilanesberg National Park where you will go on twice daily game drives to see the resident wildlife including the Big Five. You then have a taste of the high life with a 2 night trip across South Africa in the luxury Blue Train where sightseeing, fine dining and wine is the order of the day. You end the rail trip in Cape Town where you have a few days to explore this exciting and beautiful city. At the end of the holiday it's back to fine dining and wine again with a couple of nights in the very pretty Cape Winelands where you can enjoy the scenery, the world class restaurants and of course the famous vineyards.

DAY 1 - 3

Pilanesberg National Park
On arrival at Johannesburg International Airport our representative will meet you and transfer you to Tshukudu Bush Lodge. On arrival at Tshukudu Bush Lodge, check-in and relax before afternoon tea. After tea you will enjoy your first afternoon game drive. You will return to the Lodge in time for dinner. The malaria-free Pilanesberg National Park is at 55,000 hectares the fourth largest national park in the country. The crater of a long extinct volcano dominates the Pilanesberg National Park and shapes the rocky scenery. Besides the 'Big Five' visitors also have the opportunity to encounter the nocturnal brown hyena, cheetah, hippo, crocodile and even sable. The Pilanesberg mountains offer guests sightings of a wide diversity of animal and plant life including 360 species of birds, the Big Five and almost every type of animal found in Southern Africa. The Pilanesberg National Park exists within the transition zone between the dry Kalahari and wetter Lowveld vegetation, commonly referred to as "Bushveld". Unlike any other large park, unique overlaps of mammals, birds and vegetation occur because of this transition zone. Wildlife includes lions, elephants, white and black rhinos, buffaloes, leopards, zebras, hyenas, giraffes, hippos, and crocodiles.

DAY 4 - 5

The Blue Train
The Blue Train has been the ultimate in luxury rail travel since 1946.It offers a unique way of experiencing some of Southern Africa’s magnificent landscapes and landmarks. On this train luxury assumes a new dimension. You’ll feel it from the moment you step into your suite. Each suite is a world on its own, with a private entertainment centre with a choice of movie channels and radio stations. The Blue Train provides fine dining and the gourmet cuisine is complemented by the carefully selected, best South African wines. All meals are freshly prepared on board the train by Executive Chefs. The Dining Car can seat 42 guests and two sittings are required during full occupancy. The Blue Train dining experience is enhanced by the crystal glass, polished silver ware and fine bone china. In keeping with the classical romantic ambience lunch is an elegantly casual affair (semi-casual), while dinner is more formal and the men are requested to wear a jacket and tie and the ladies elegant evening wear.

DAY 6 - 9

Cape Town
After a luxurious breakfast you will arrive in CApe Town around 10.30. On arrival at Cape Town Station, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Cape Town.
