If you are looking for a more relaxing safari option then this is the holiday for you. Rather than travelling for miles you are based for the whole week in one safari lodge. This give you the opportunity to do plenty of game viewing and plenty of relaxing around the swimming pool. You are also only a short drive from the world famous Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River which both offer plenty of exciting activities such as cruises, rafting, safari tours etc. There is also a nice town with shops and restaurants you can visit too.
This is also an excellent family safari as the camp is geared up for young children and many of the activities are geared towards them.
Masuwe Lodge overlooks the Masuwe River and is surrounded by 1,000 hectares (almost 2500 acres) of private wildlife sanctuary. The lodge offers accommodation in nine Wilderness Tents that combine thatch and canvas with an attached local stone bathroom (shower, vanity and toilet) and a front deck with comfortable seating and views of the natural bushland where wildlife roams. Supremely comfortable beds are made up with top quality cotton bed linen and canopied with mosquito netting.
The main lodge overlooks a waterhole and the (often dry) Masuwe River. Perched high on a hill, the dining, bar, lounge, pool and relaxation areas are well shaded and open to the breezes, birdlife and wildlife that calls Masuwe home.
The Real World Conservation Trust (formerly the Real Africa Trust) works with leading conservation organisations to raise awareness as well as raising funds for specific projects. The 2018 Explorers Against Extinction Campaign has raised almost £60k for conservation projects with African Parks and Flora and Fauna International. Previous partners include Save the Elephants, Save the Rhino, The Sheldrick Trust, Rhino Conservation Botswana and Animals saving Animals. You can find out much more on our specific campaigns and where the money goes on our Conservation pages. On behalf of every client travelling, Real Africa makes a donation to the Trust. Our aim is to raise awareness about the plight of endangered species and to promote sustainable, socially responsible travel which benefits the wildlife and communities you choose to visit.
