This is an incredible safari holiday for those looking to get off the beaten track. Nyerere National Park is more remote than the game reserves of Northern Tanzania and so you are unlikely to see many other visitors when out on your game drives.

The wildlife is diverse and rewarding with the opportunity to explore by vehicle, on foot and by boat.

Safari Itinerary

DAY 1-4

Nyerere National Park
Fly to Nyerere National Park (The Selous). On arrival you will be met and transferred to your safari camp. Selous Impala Camp is around 45 minutes from the airstrip and you'll enjoy a game drive on your way. The camp is situated on a wooded stretch of the stunning Rufiji River. Simply yet stylishly designed, it offers varied safaris both on land and water.

DAY 5-8

Zanzibar
Early morning game drive is followed by breakfast, after which you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar. On arrival in Zanzibar, you will be met and transferred to Pongwe Beach Hotel, located by a picture perfect beach with white powdery sands, turquoise waters and shady palm trees. Check-in and enjoy your time at leisure. Pongwe Beach is protected by an offshore reef which keeps the water calm and safe for all to swim in. Snorkeling and boat trips can also be arranged.

DAY 9

Depart
Following breakfast check out - you will be transferred to Zanzibar airport for your onward flight.
