South Africa Grand Escorted Tour

This comprehensive tour takes you from the Panoramic Route and the Blyde River Canyon, to the Garden Route and the Storms River. You will safari in the world famous Kruger National Park, visit the mountain kingdom of Swaziland and relax in the beautiful Drakensberg Mountains. There is also time to visit Durban and end with a couple of days exploring Cape Town. You travel with a THETA registered driver-guide throughout.

This is a group tour. A suitable luxury air conditioned vehicle will be used depending on the final group size (minimum two passengers - maximum 16 passengers).

Book one place on this tour before 31 December 2019 and receive one complimentary place on the same tour for your travel companion, subject to availability, for travel February - August 2020.

Safari Itinerary


On arrival at O.R. Tambo Johannesburg International Airport our representative will meet you airside and will assist you through Passport Control, luggage collection, customs clearance. You will then be transferred to African Rock Hotel.

DAY 2 - 3

Panorama Route and Kruger Safari
This morning you shall be met by our representative and begin your escorted group tour. You depart Johannesburg, and travel to the ‘Land of the Rising Sun – Mpumalanga – via the magnificent Panorama Route. The most spectacular stretch of the Panorama Route is the Blyde River Canyon. From many well-positioned vantage points one has a view of the 33 km long gorge, which starts at "Bourke's Luck Potholes" and ends at the "Three Rondavels". Time and weather permitting, stop at God’s Window. You arrive at your hotel in Hazyview in the late afternoon. On you second day here you will head off on an early morning transfer to the Kruger National Park for a morning open vehicle safari through the Kruger National Park. The world-renowned Kruger National Park offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa. At nearly 2 million hectares, the reserve is the flagship of South African National Parks and is home to an impressive number of flora and fauna.


After breakfast, travel to the Royal Kingdom of Swaziland. This tiny mountainous kingdom is filled with bygone African traditions and culture and offers beautiful scenery and attractions such as game reserves and art & craft outlets to name a few. Enjoy a showcase of the traditional Swazi culture followed by a traditional lunch at the Matsamo Cultural Village. After spending some time at the craft markets, arrive at your hotel located in the beautiful Ezulwini Valley.
