Southern Parks - Selous & Ruaha fly-in Safari

This is an incredible safari holiday for those looking to get off the beaten track. Both Selous and Ruaha are much wilder and more more remote than the game reserves of Northern Tanzania and you are unlikely to see any other visitors when out on your game drives.

The game is diverse and you will get the chance to spot the Big Five as well as a variety of other herbivores, predators and wildlife. You might even get the chance to see the very endangered and rare African Wild Dog if you are extremely lucky.

This trip is one for a safari aficionado - someone who has been before and wants to experience a more remote bush safari.

Both the safari camps we use on this trip are lovely with spacious en-suite rooms and excellent facilities as well as superb views over the rivers on which they both sit. You will be able to do plenty of game viewing from your camp.

The Real World Conservation Trust (formerly Real Africa Trust) works with leading conservation organisations to raise awareness as well as raising funds for specific projects. Partners include Save the Elephants, Save the Rhino, The Sheldrick Trust, Rhino Conservation Botswana and Animals saving Animals. You can find out more on our Conservation pages. On behalf of every client travelling, Real Africa makes a donation to the Trust. Our aim is to raise awareness about the plight of endangered species and to promote sustainable, socially responsible travel which benefits the wildlife and communities you choose to visit. Foxes Camps run both the Rufiji River Camp and the Ruaha Lodge. They run an important Community and Wildlife Trust which is an NGO supporting both the local people and the local wildlife as well as encouraging sustainable environmental practises.
