Safari Itinerary

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by your guide who will take you to one of Entebbe's oldest hotels, set in tropical gardens in a leafy suburb and just a 10 minute drive from Entebbe International Airport. Check-in on arrival and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 2-3

Kibale Forest National Park
Depart Kampala and travel to the stunning crater region of Western Uganda (approx. 5 hours). The route is incredibly scenic, passing through tea plantations and the lush green countryside which characterises so much of Uganda. Relax at your lodge which is located about 45 minutes from Kibale Forest. Take a guided walk around the around the 1000 acre farm and the Ndali Vanilla processing plant or to the nearby Muhoma Falls. Walks will take you around crater rims, past alcohol brewing in oil drums, through banana plantations, vanilla plantations, coffee terraces, plots of cassava, groundnuts, sorghum and millet. On your second day here you will head off to Kibale forest for an exciting and amazing experience. Starting your day at 0600 you meet your wildlife ranger guides, who may be joined by researchers. They will lead you into the forest for a chimpanzee habituation experience. This is a fascinating process whereby wild chimps become comfortable with a human presence. Meet the chimps just leaving their nests to start their day and spend a longer time with them in the forest, depending on your stamina! Get in-depth knowledge about chimps, learning and observing their behaviour and how they live their daily life in their natural habitat.

DAY 4-5

Queen Elizabeth National Park
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey takes you through the crater lakes region – a beautiful creation as a result of a volcanic activity and stopping at points of interest along the way. Arrive at your lodge located in the heart of the park overlooking the Kazinga channel with great views of the sweeping plains of the park. On your second day your nature-filled adventure continues in a different way in Queen Elizabeth National Park as you go off the beaten track, in search of lions. After lunch enjoy the afternoon at leisure. Perhaps take a 2-hour boat cruise on the majestic Kazinga Channel known for its high concentration of hippos. Look out for animals by the shores and many colourful birds. Undoubtedly one of the highlights of this park.
