Work has started at Ololchura School in the Masai Mara, one of the projects supported by the Real Africa Trust. Building materials, including the stone for the walls, has been trucked to the site and work on the foundations will start in the next week.
The Headmaster Tamoo Sankale e-mailed us through photos with a message saying how excited the children all were.
It currently the rainy season in Kenya – you can see the tyre marks made by the heavy lorries in the normally rock-hard ground. This will make digging the foundations a little easier.
We’ll be posting more updates as the building work progresses.
